Audra and I are in awe of how busy the spring has been for us! It's been amazing meeting so many new families.
We've had a couple families lately where, when they were scheduling, the grandparents weren't sure if they wanted to be in the session. But they definitely wanted photos of their beautiful grandchildren. That inspired me to write this post!
Audra and I always try to encourage grandparents to participate in the session. And we know where they are coming from. I get so excited about getting photos of my kids that I forget about myself. (forgetting about yourself is definitely a parent thing!) But I try to remind myself that the kids are going to want photos of me and my husband with them too. Also, If you're anything like me, you might be a little self-conscious about the way you're going to look during a photo session. But don't worry, we are going to help you look your best.
AND it's going to be fun!
I feel that it's really important for grandparents to be in the session if they are on vacation with their family. Grandkids ADORE their grandparents and these are photos that they will treasure forever. Especially the photos of their GPs playing with them and snuggling on the beach.
The time you're spending together in your rental house is unique and special.
If your grandkids are anything like my kids, this vacation is a dream come true for them. Any time my kids get to spend the night at grandma or grandpa's house is something they look forward to.
Don't worry, it won't be a lot of work. It will feel like a fun time together on the beach. And we will take all kinds of breakdowns of your group. You'll get to watch your kids snuggle with their parents. And siblings play together.
I love seeing the look of pride on grandparents' faces as they watch the family they have built. After all, as I like to say "this is all their fault"! They made this wonderful group of people!
